My Power is the second collaboration between Envotion & Ukrainian born Teya Flow. After they met via the remix of I Need That Fire (Envotion Remix) by ELSP from Kazakhstan. A more subdued and slower proposal, My Power brews with strength and stoic determination.

The song is deeply personal to Teya, the armed conflict in her native land was affecting Teya’s creative process. I felt destroyed, yet I didn't want to write negative songs filled with the pain and resentment I felt constantly. I was stuck. She shares openly.

Envotion superb production is full of solid moments that in now way distract from the main focus that’s Teya’s voice and lyrics.

When Envotion sent me the instrumental, I felt there was so much light and hope, as if someone was speaking to me through the music. Now you feel bad, but hold on. It's going to be alright. You're strong. Take my hand, I'll help you.''

Music has the ability to lift you from the deepest of holes and Teya felt exactly that while working on the track. I realised why the music was so special. It was also because of the people behind it. While your closest neighbour is destroying your life, someone on the other side of the world is supporting you, bringing back your power to create something that makes the world better again.

My Power is out now on all major streaming platforms.

CURVE

Unreadable Communication
Anxious Recordings 1991-1993

Released February 23, 2024

Formed by two relative veterans of the musical landscape in London in 1990, Curve blazed a trail with a fresh new sound during the first few years of that decade, fusing heavy electronics with layered guitars and sweetly dark vocals. The British music press was instantly enamoured, and the band went on to score a succession of critically acclaimed underground hits through a series of classic EPs and two futuristic albums.

Released on Dave Stewart’s (Eurythmics) Anxious imprint, these records chart the course of a band who burned brightly but briefly in their original incarnation, taking their cues from the scene around them and creating a new sound which many would mimic (most notably, Butch Vig’s Garbage). But this is the original flavour. The real deal. Original and daring. Homespun yet worldly.

Featuring the classic early EPs and those two seminal long players, ‘Unreadable Communication’ demands a re-examination of a band who set the standards of their own time and place, and who continue to be referenced and appreciated by shoegazers, industrialists and ethereal pop kids across the world.
