13 Jul 2006 - Girls Aloud Deny Split

????Cheryl Tweedy has denied claims that Girls Aloud are on the brink of splitting up. The five-strong TV pop discovery have been at the centre of speculation in recent weeks, amid claims that they are set to announce the end of the group after three albums together.

She insists Girls Aloud will begin work on their new LP, a follow-up to last year's acclaimed "Chemistry", in the coming months.

"After our tour finished we went into the studio to record three new songs for the Greatest Hits. We've come up with six tracks we love and are now thinking we should do a new studio album instead."
