SPANDAU BALLET will release a brand new single on November 9th. The track, entitled 'Once More', will be the recently reunited band's first new release for twenty years. Spandau Ballet will also release a new album on the same day although the album title is still to be announced. Recording commitments however have forced the band to reschedule their mainland European shows. After Spandau Ballet's forthcoming UK and Irish shows they will play one more show in Amsterdam on November 1st and then pick up the European dates - which now includes a new show in Rome - in March next year. CULTURE CLUB, ULTRAVOX, KAJAGOOGOO, DURAN DURAN, CLASSIX NOUVEAUX and THE STRANGLERS will all have concerts, recorded in the early 80s, released as downloads in December. The shows were originally recorded by the BBC for their 'In Concert' series and will be available on December 7th alongside shows from THE SPECIALS and THE SELECTER that were recorded in 1979. ABBA, GENESIS, DONNA SUMMER, KISS and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS are among the nominees to enter the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next year.

ABC are to perform their classic album 'The Lexicon of Love' in its entirety at two special shows in Sheffield and Manchester in December. The shows follow the success of the band's 'The Lexicon of Love' show at London's Royal Albert Hall in April and will again see the band accompanied by a full orchestra conducted by ANNE DUDLEY. ABC will also headline the forthcoming Oxfam charity event Oxjam at London's Matter in October, topping a bill that includes Mylo, Kisy Seel Out and The Hoosiers. See GIGS for all the dates.

MADONNA is thought to be planning a collaboration with JANET JACKSON on a tribute song for the late MICHAEL JACKSON according to current rumours which started after the duo dined together after MTV's recent VMA Awards.

MICHAEL JACKSON will release a new song on the soundtrack to accompany his forthcoming film 'This Is It'. The song, also entitled 'This Is It' will be released on October 12th and will be followed by the 2-CD soundtrack album on October 26th. The 'This Is It' film will premiere at fifteen simultaneous events around the world on October 27th. See NEWS for more details about the album and about the launch of the film.

GEORGE MICHAEL will release a live DVD entitled 'Live In London' on December 7th. The DVD and Blu-Ray release was filmed at London's Earls Court on Michael's '25 Live' tour last year.

FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD will release a new compilation 'Frankie Say Greatest' on November 2nd to mark the 25th anniversary of the original release of their classic album 'Welcome To The Pleasuredome'. The CD/DVD release will feature all the band's hits plus new remixes of 'Relax','Two Tribes' and 'Power of Love' and original remixes.

PSYCHEDELIC FURS have added two more shows to their upcoming run of UK dates and have announced that as part of their set they will perform their 1981 album 'Talk Talk Talk' in its entirety. The band will play the shows in London, Glasgow and Manchester in November, see GIGS for all the details.

JOHN FOXX will release a live album 'In The Glow' on October 19th, featuring concerts recorded in 1983 when he was touring his 'The Golden Section' album. The 2-CD package will feature mostly unreleased recordings from shows at London's Dominion Theatre and The Lyceum in October and December 1983 respectively. Foxx will also see reissues of his 'Shifting City' and 'Pleasures Of Electricity' albums released on the same date in expanded 2-CD editions. John Foxx will also feature in BBC4's 'Synth Britannia' documentary which will air on October 16th. See NEWS for the full tracklisting of all three releases.

KRAFTWERK will reissue digitally remastered editions of their classic albums in October. The special editions of 'Autobahn', 'Radio-Activity', 'Trans Europe Express', 'The Man Machine', 'Computer World', 'Techno Pop', 'The Mix' and 'Tour De France' will be released as individual albums packaged in special slipcases featuring newly expanded artwork and previously unseen images on October 12th, and together in an 8-CD boxset on November 16th.

MIDNIGHT OIL's classic single 'Beds Are Burning' has been covered by a group of artists - including DURAN DURAN's SIMON LE BON, BOB GELDOF and THE SCORPIONS - for release as a special single to raise awareness of global warming. The single will be available as a free download from early October.

ELVIS COSTELLO is set to release a series of live albums, drawn from classic bootlegs, starting with 'Live At The El Mocambo' on September 29th which features a 1978 show recorded in Toronto.

DURAN DURAN are lining up special editions of their albums 'Duran Duran', 'Seven And The Ragged Tiger' and 'Notorious' for release in the first half of next year.
