 ?? | The last ever episode of "Top Of The Pops" will be recorded today, over 40 years since it began. The show, which has finally been axed by the BBC after years of declining figures, will be presented by Fearne Cotton and Sir Jimmy Saville.
Jimmy Saville, who presented the first ever episode of the show, will star alongside other veteran former "Top Of The Pops" presenters Tony Blackburn and Mike Read. Speaking on the BBC this morning about the last episode, Jimmy Saville commented: "Most shows don't last 42 days - we last 42 years. You can only feel incredibly proud."
The final "Top Of The Pops" is due to be broadcast on July 30. |
