TANITA TIKARAM has announced that she will release a new album, 'Closer To The People', on March 11th next year and has also put one of the tracks from the album online as a preview. This is 'Food On My Table':

Speaking about the new track, Tikaram says; "I've listened to many soul records and singers from a very young age, and it has shaped me as a songwriter. I don't have a soul voice but I hope the song and the sound of the record shows the deep love I have for that music."

The release of 'Closer To The People' will be supported by UK dates which are to be announced shortly.
