BOB GELDOF has confirmed the forthcoming Live 8 shows for July 2nd. There will be shows in London, Philadelphia, Rome, Paris and Berlin and artists playing include DURAN DURAN, A-HA, THE CURE, MADONNA, REM, ANNIE LENNOX, STING and STEVIE WONDER.

ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN will release their new album, 'Siberia', on September 5th and will play a very special show on the day of release at Liverpool's Tate Modern gallery. ANNIE LENNOX and PETER GABRIEL are among artists on the bill for a very special concert on the Arctic Circle on June 11th. The concert, in aid of Nelson Mandela's 46664 charity, will take place in Tromso, Norway and other artists on the bill include QUEEN's BRIAN MAY and ZUCCHERO.

MADONNA's forthcoming album is thought be called 'Defying Gravity'. The album will be released in January 2006. Apparently eight tracks have been completed for the record, including one reported to be called 'I Love New York'.
