frontman DR ROBERT has announced his first London show for almost five years which will take place at Filthy McNastys on July 14th. In the meantime Dr Robert has been working on a duets album with soul legend PP ARNOLD as well as working on bonus material for a long awaited Blow Monkeys DVD.

SCRITTI POLITTI
have been forced to cancel their July 17th gig in Norwich due to circumstances beyond their control but have announced another show headlining the Uncut Stage at Southwold's Latitude Festival on July 14th
.

HUGH CORNWELL
will join A-HA, GARY NUMAN, BILLY IDOL, THE WATERBOYS, THE STRANGLERS, THE LIGHTNING SEEDS and SPARKS on the bill of the forthcoming Guilfest Festival on July 14th-16th.

EURYTHMICS singer ANNIE LENNOX has been awarded an honorary degree from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

KIM WILDE
will release her long awaited new album in September. The release, entitled 'Never Say Never', will appear on September 8th but will be preceded by a brand new reworking of Kim's 1988 single 'You Came' on August 14th.

, HOWARD JONES and TOYAH have added another date to their forthcoming Hitmakers Tour with the announcement of a show at Tunbridge Wells' Assembly hall on December 7th. SHAKATAK singer JILL SEWARD will take her '20th Century Divas' show to The Bell Hotel in Clare, Suffolk on July 2nd.

WET WET WET frontman MARTI PELLOW will release a new album, 'Moonlight Over Memphis', in September in advance of his upcoming tour dates when he will be backed by former SQUEEZE mainman CHRIS DIFFORD.

THE PRETENDERS have announced dates in the US, Spain and Japan in July and August as well as a single UK show at Oxford's Cornbury festival on July 9th (with THE WATERBOYS and DEACON BLUE). The band will also record a special show for VH-1's 'Decades Rock Live' series in Atlantic City on August 11th which will also include contributions from IGGY POP and Garbage singer Shirley Manson.

PRINCE received the award for best male R&B artist at last week's BET Awards in the US alongside CHAKA KHAN who received a lifetime achievement award.

GARY NUMAN has announced US dates which run from the end of July to the end of August and see Numan playing seventeen dates across the country.

PET SHOP BOYS have announced live dates in the USA, Canada and Mexico towards the end of the year.
