We thank you, we thank you, we thank you, WE THANK YOU!!

We sincerely thank you for buying the album and for coming along to the shows. We’ve said before that we put a lot of work into the album and that we were personally really proud of it, however we knew that the true measure of our endeavours would only come when the album hit the public domain as it did last week. It would be fair to say that reading your comments on the Hue and Cry Music Club has put huge smiles on our faces.

Similarly, your reactions to the shows both on the night and later online have given us a renewed appetite for performing and we hope to be coming back to you soon with more news on that front. In the meantime, hopefully we can catch you at some of our forthcoming appearances, speaking of which how amazing is it that the legendary Al Green has asked us to appear as his special guests when he plays in Glasgow next month?

At the recent shows, a few of you were asking about making merchandise available that was different to what we had on tour, so we moved into overdrive on that front and we’re pleased to be launching our online store this week. We had great fun working with our designers across the themed range and hopefully there’ll be something there for everyone!

HUE AND CRY AT THE HARD ROCK CAFE!

Hue and Cry have joined the line up for the Hard Rock Cafe ‘Pinktober’ series of gigs and will perform live with the full band at the chain's Edinburgh restaurant on the 15th of October. The gig is part of a month-long initiative by the Hard Rock Cafe in association with The Caron Keating Foundation to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer through a run of live music gigs. HUE AND CRY AT A HOUSE OF FRASER NEAR YOU!

Hue and Cry are also looking forward to playing a series of intimate ‘in store’ performances at certain House Of Fraser stores throughout the UK at the end of September and beginning of October. All further details can be found on the Hue and Cry website.

The brand new Hue and Cry album ‘Open Soul’ is out now and is available to buy from all good record stores, both online and on the high street. There’s two physical formats available, a 12 track digi pack CD and a 14 track Premium Deluxe Limited Edition CD. The album is also available to download from your online music provider of choice. Speaking of downloads, the 13 track digital version of the album that is available on iTunes contains the exclusive bonus track ‘Venus Needs Her Chocolate’.
