SPANDAU BALLET are said to have signed a new record deal are planning an acoustic album of their greatest hits which will be released to coincide with their upcoming reunion tour. The band have also added more shows to the tour with news of concerts in Portugal, Spain and Italy. See GIGS for all the dates.

A-HA have announced that they will play a one-off London show at the forthcoming iTunes Music Festival at London's Roundhouse in July to mark the UK release of their 'Foot Of The Mountain' single and album. See NEWS for more details.

PREFAB SPROUT will release a new album 'Let's Change The World With Music' on September 7th in the UK.

PSYCHEDELIC FURS and HAPPY MONDAYS have teamed up for a double headline tour of the US and Canada in September and October. See GIGS for all the dates.

FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD are to reform for a comeback tour following the success of their epic single 'Relax' on the current Virgin Atlantic TV advert according to current rumours. The band are said to be planning a tour around an upcoming hits collection scheduled for release later this year.

THE STONE ROSES will reissue five singles over the summer to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of their eponymous debut album. Each single will be released as a limited edition 7" and download and will come out at the rate of one a week from July 6th. See NEWS for the full list of singles.

PET SHOP BOYS have announced four UK dates to take place around the country in December. The duo, who play London's O2 Arena this week, will play Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester before returning for another London show at the O2 on December 21st. See GIGS for all the dates.

KYLIE MINOGUE, FIVE STAR, DEAD OR ALIVE, TONE LOC, THE REYNOLDS GIRLS, ODYSSEY, S'EXPRESS, EIGHTH WONDER, COLONEL ABRAMS and THE POINTER SISTERS are among 100 dance artists from all stages of the 80s to be featured on a new 5-CD compilation '100 Hits: 80s Dance' which is released this week.

THE BLOW MONKEYS have announced tour dates for the autumn. The band will play two shows in Japan on August 14th and 15th followed by 'The Travelin' Souls September Tour' which will see the recently reunited band play ten shows around the UK. The Blow Monkeys will also make an appearance at the free Godiva Festival in Coventry on July 3rd. See GIGS for all the dates.

CLOUDFISH - the side project featuring SPANDAU BALLET's STEVE NORMAN and former BUCKS FIZZ singer SHELLEY PRESTON - will play a show at Teddington's The Bloated Mallard on July 17th.

THE PIXIES have announced a short tour of Europe that will see the band perform their 1989 album 'Doolittle' in its entirety alongside its related b-sides and other tracks. See GIGS for all the dates.

BROS mainman MATT GOSS will release a new single entitled 'Evil' on August 4th and is to appear live at Las Vegas' Palms Casino to promote it. He will also be publishing his first children's book 'Bear Crimbo' in September!

NEW ORDER's BERNARD SUMNER and STEPHEN MORRIS have reportedly started a new band, Bad Lieutenant, with recent New Order guitarist Phil Cunningham and Blur bassist Alex James. An album is apparently recorded and will be released by the end of the year.

SIMPLE MINDS will release a new single, 'Stars Will Lead The Way', on July 20th, the second from their current 'Graffiti Soul' album.
