ULTRAVOX have added a second London date to their forthcoming reunion tour. The show will take place at the Roundhouse on April 30th and will also be filmed for a special DVD release. The band will also release a CD/DVD edition of their 1983 live release 'Monument' on February 16th. 'Monument' was originally released as a six-track mini album and a live VHSand the new edition features the original six tracks plus a number of bonus tracks. PET SHOP BOYS will release their new album 'Yes' at the end of March and will precede the album with a single entitled 'Love, Etc'. See NEWS for the full album tracklisting.

BANANARAMA are currently mixing their new album with a view to annoucing a release date shortly. The album will feature five new tracks and five covers of classic disco anthems.

DURAN DURAN, YAZOO, ABC, PET SHOP BOYS, THE HUMAN LEAGUE, THE CURE and IMAGINATION are among artists featured on a forthcoming mix album entitled '80s Niteclub' which will be released on February 2nd. The 3-CD collection features fifty key 80s tracks, many in their 12" versions, presented in the mix. See NEWS for the full album tracklisting.

DEPECHE MODE's hit 'Personal Jesus' has been sampled on 'Reach Out', the new single from Hilary Duff which will be released in the UK on January 19th. The song has been recorded as one of two new tracks on the retrospective album 'The Best of Hilary Duff' which will be released a week later.

GO WEST will release a new single 'Man On Fire' on April 6th following their UK 'Go West By Request' dates in February and March. The single will feature a single remix of the track that features on their recent album 'Futurenow' which the band will be repromoting at the same time. See GIGS for all the dates.

UB40 will release a twenty-track collection of their best known ballads as 'Love Songs' on February 2nd, in time for Valentine's Day. The band are also expected to announce dates for 2009 in the near future. See NEWS for the full album tracklisting.

BILLY OCEAN will release a new album 'Because I Love You' to coincide with his forthcoming UK dates which start at the end of January. A live album, recorded on the 2008 Billy Ocean dates will also be available at the forthcoming shows. See GIGS for all the dates.

KAJAGOOGOO have announced three shows in Poland in February. See GIGS for all the dates.

HUE AND CRY will release a new single 'Heading For A Fall' on January 12th in advance of a short UK tour in February and March. See GIGS for all the dates.

MORRISSEY has announced three US shows to support his forthcoming new album 'Years Of Refusal'. The shows will all take place in New York, the first at the Bowery Ballroom on March 21st followed by shows at Webster Hall and Carnegie Hall.

KRAFTWERK will support Radiohead on their forthcoming South American tour in March, followed by a German tour in April although the line-up will not feature FLORIAN SCHNEIDER who this week announced that he is leaving the band, leaving just one original member, RALF HUETTER, in the line-up.

PRINCE is apparently planning three album releases for 2009, including 'Lotus Flower', some of the tracks of which have already been played on US radio, an electro-pop collection tentatively entitled 'MPLSound' and 'Elixir', a collaboration with his new protege Bria Valente.

MADNESS are to host the fifth Madstock Festival, which they will also headline, in London's Victoria Park on July 17th.

ELVIS COSTELLO, STING, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and STEVIE WONDER are all expected to play at Barack Obama's forthcoming inauguration concert on January 20th, or at other music events in Washington DC to mark the presidential inauguration.
