Gwen Stefani has confirmed the initial details of her second solo album, which will be called "The Sweet Escape".
The former No Doubt star describes the LP, which is due in December, as "surprisingly different" from her acclaimed, multi-million selling debut "Love.Angel.Music.Baby".
The Neptunes, Akon, Keane's Tim Rice-Oxley, Nellee Hooper, Swizz Beats and Dave Stewart are amongst the contributors on the record, as is Tony Kanal, who was in No Doubt. | ?? |
"This album is surprisingly different than the last one. I started recording it last year before (her son) Kingston was born and it's definitely evolved over the last year.
"The dance sound is very 'now.' It's modern...not so retro," Stefani explained in a statement.
"The Sweet Escape" is due for release on December 5 and is scheduled to be preceded by a single, "Wind It Up". |
