'Motel' is the 1st single from the upcoming The Lightning Kids Remix album 'FM' album and is a collaboration with Sunglasses Kid, who has given the single a 80's late night 'Madonna x Live To Tell' end of movie credits vibe.

The original version of 'Motel' was taken from the band's debut album 'All Of Those Nights' which was released in November 2022 and has since had strong success - gathering over 1m views on Tik Tok, #1 placement on German and UK Alternative Album charts on I-Tunes and over 350,000 album streams on Spotify.

With the new single, The Lightning Kids prepare for the release of their debut remix album, a 7-track love-letter to lost-teenage-dreams and summer nights called 'FM' which is due to be released in July 2023.

The song was produced in Tommy's home studio in Berlin using only analog synthesizers such as an Oberheim OBX8, Roland JX8P, Novation Peak and a DSI Prophet to create an organic, lush and warm soundscape. This mix of vintage and modern synthesizers is mirrored in the production style that unifies typical 80s sounds in a contemporary surrounding, sonically comparable with artists like The Naked And Famous, NINA or Dagny.
