a-ha are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Minor Earth, Major Sky with a special edition release, out December 12. The album marked a defining moment in the Norwegian trio’s career. Originally released in 2000, it signaled a triumphant comeback after a seven-year hiatus, reaffirming both their lasting relevance and continued creative evolution.

The 25th Anniversary Edition pairs the original tracklist—remastered in 2019—with four exclusive live recordings from a-ha’s 2001 concert at Oslo’s Valhall Arena, now available on vinyl for the very first time. Pressed on two high-quality 180g silver vinyl LPs, this edition is a must-have for collectors and fans alike, offering a renewed perspective on a modern classic while celebrating a-ha’s enduring legacy in pop music.

Minor Earth, Major Sky tells the story of a band that, while seemingly pausing between 1994 and 2000, never stopped making music. The group has described this period as transitional: “No one believed that it was over, it was more that nothing kept us together at that point,” recalls Magne Furuholmen in the liner notes of the 2019 Deluxe Edition. The spark for their reunion came in 1998, when a-ha performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo—a one-off appearance that unexpectedly reignited their creative chemistry and paved the way for a new album that picked up right where Memorial Beach (1993) left off.

The Anniversary Edition features the full set of remastered originals—from the soaring title track Minor Earth, Major Sky and the dreamy Velvet to the timeless hit Summer Moved On, alongside four previously unreleased live versions (Minor Earth, Major Sky, The Sun Never Shone That Day, Velvet, and Summer Moved On). Blending studio precision with live emotion, this collection offers fans a rare glimpse into a-ha’s artistic vision and stage energy during that pivotal era.

Following the success in recent years of deluxe editions of Ultravox’s Vienna, Rage In Eden, Quartet and Lament albums, Chrysalis Records will now release a deluxe edition boxset of The Collection, the band’s hugely successful 1984 compilation.

The Collection features the 14 singles Ultravox released between 1980 and 1984. Upon its release it sold over two million copies worldwide and went triple platinum in the UK.

The most notable tracks featured on The Collection include the iconic Vienna, the anti-nuclear war anthem Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, new wave synth driven classics like All Stood Still, Hymn and The Voice, and the single that was recorded specifically for the original compilation, Love’s Great Adventure.

This newly remastered compilation has been expanded to a 4CD/two Blu-ray deluxe edition. The set includes a new Collection II with a further 14 singles, alternative and unreleased versions from 1986 to 2024, 10 newly created 80s style 12″ extended versions which Ultravox were known for, mixed by Midge Ure, Steven Wilson, Blank & Jones amongst others, as well as all the band’s B-sides collected together for the first time, and two Blu-ray discs with over four hours of footage featuring all the band’s groundbreaking promotional videos, alternative versions and a collection of their appearances on BBC TV from Top Of The Pops and live performances.

The Collection is released on 5 December via Chrysalis Records.

Rising pop artist Szaskia will release her powerful new single “GLORIA STEINEM” on October 29, across all major streaming platforms.

A magnetic pop-soul track, “GLORIA STEINEM” is a feminist anthem celebrating female empowerment and solidarity. Inspired by a TV drama about Gloria Steinem that she watched during the pandemic, Szaskia recalls: “I became so obsessed with the show and Gloria Steinem’s story, and it gave me inspiration for this hook, ‘Fight for the girls like I’m Gloria Steinem.’ I wanted to encapsulate the energy of a powerful woman in the song”.

Co-produced with her brother, Pocket, “GLORIA STEINEM” fuses Motown-inspired soul textures with a nostalgic Timbaland-style beat — creating a track that’s both modern and timeless.

A newly graduated International Relations student, Szaskia uses the single as a bridge between her academic interests and her musical endeavours. Born and raised in Edinburgh, Szaskia grew up in a deeply musical household and began writing, singing, and studying classical piano from a young age.

She has already made waves as a BBC Introducing favourite, being selected as one of only two Scottish entries for the BBC Radio 1 Introducing Live Lounge competition (2022) and earning Track of the Week on BBC Introducing Scotland with her single “Your Loss”.

“GLORIA STEINEM” is the first of many upcoming releases that Szaskia has co-produced herself, showcasing her growth as both a writer and producer, and setting the tone for what’s next.

Narcissist fuses dark EDM minimalism with sharp social commentary, exploring the psychology of power, control, and obsession. Through haunting vocals and brooding production, Marc Matthews and INDIGO expose the seductive narcissism of modern leaders and the systems that sustain them. Narcissist is a tense, hypnotic reflection on ego and influence.

A sharp, danceable slice of early-2000s-inspired electronica, Where Is The Love pairs gritty synths, haunting pads, and buzzing leads with hard-panned delay FXs that mirror the song's themes of confusion and disillusionment. With echoes of Röyksopp, Goldfrapp and late Depeche Mode, the track critiques over-materialism while yearning for authenticity and human connection. The urban-inspired artwork underscores the song's vision: a faceless figure walking through a city of cold isolation, surrounded by surreal flowers and fractured streets, a symbol of beauty lost in the noise of consumerism. Where Is The Love is the second chapter in Wanderlust, the long-awaited collaborative project by Donna Lewis and David Lowe. Where Burning Man celebrated freedom and release, Where Is The Love serves as a mirror of disillusionment, a wake-up call wrapped in hypnotic beats and sharp-edged production.
