HOWARD JONES, OMD, NIK KERSHAW, THE CURE and THE SMITHS are all featured on 'Retro:Active 4 Rare & Remixed', the latest collection of vintage mixes from Canada's Hi Bias label which is set for an August 9th release. Most of the tracks are available on CD for the first time.

HOWARD JONES will release his new album 'Revolution Of The Heart' on September 5th and will be launching the album with a special concert at Aylesbury Civic Centre on September 9th. Jones has also added several new shows, in the UK and Sweden, to his 2005 schedule.

HEAVEN 17, ALTERED IMAGES, IMAGINATION, LIMAHL and ALEXANDER O'NEAL are all lined-up to play PA dates at new London clubnight 'Gold' which also features RUSTY EGAN as resident DJ. 'Gold' will take place at the newly refurbished Hippodrome.

ABBA singer AGNETHA FALTSOG is to have three of her solo albums reissued in August; 'Now A Thousand Christmas Candles Are Being Lit', 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me', and 'Eyes Of A Woman' are all due out on August 14th featuring mixes, b-sides and extra tracks.

TRACY CHAPMAN has announced two UK shows, with more to be announced, in support of her forthcoming album 'Where You Live' which is scheduled for a September release.

ALISON MOYET will release a live DVD 'One Blue Voice' on September 26th featuring a concert filmed in June in London's Covent Garden. Featuring an eight-piece band including a string quartet, the tracklisting includes tracks from Moyet's recent album 'Voice' alongside a number of her classic tracks including a rendition of her YAZOO hit 'Only You'.

ABC have added more shows to their forthcoming US jaunt. The band will now also be playing shows in New York, Chicago and Orlando in late August and early September.

RICK ASTLEY is lining up a UK winter tour for 2005 and has already announced the first show which is to take place at The Lowry in Salford on November 20th.

ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN
have announced UK dates for September and October. The band will return to the road after playing a number of festival gigs and will be promoting their new album 'Siberia' which is due for a September 19th release.

VISAGE have been asked to remix Kelly Osbourne's recent hit 'One Word', a track that borrowed heavily from the Visage hit 'Fade To Grey'. Visage are currently working on a new record and will release a single 'In The Dark' shortly.

INXS have signed a new record deal with SonyBMG's Epic label. The band are currently recruiting a new lead singer via an international Pop Idol-style reality TV show. 'Rock Star: INXS' and will release the new album, featuring the new singer, in late 2005 before embarking on a massive world tour. The band are also about to publish their first official biography 'INXS: Story To Story'.

FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD
have added more shows to their forthcoming UK tour, bringing the confirmed total to seven with more on the way.

This unique cover features a heavily pixelated image of Pete, with typical 1980's style computer screen graphic titles printed inside a vertical black column of the left hand side. Undoubtedly the rarest DOA sleeve in the world, and only the second time we have found one in the past 18 years. A truly genuine rarity!

Pop music duo Daryl Hall and John Oates have postponed upcoming US shows because Hall has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. Hall, 55, is recovering at his home in New York and is expected to make a full recovery, publicist Jonathan Wolfson said.

This month's shows have been postponed, but those scheduled for August and September are expected to go on as planned.

Hall and Oates are known for their 1980s hits including Maneater, I Can't Go for That (No Can Do) and Kiss on My List. They have been touring in support of their latest album, Our Kind of Soul.

, ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN, PROPAGANDA, DAVID SYLVIAN, U2 and PETER GABRIEL are among artists whose videos are featured on a forthcoming DVD showcasing the work of innovative photographer and director Anton Corbijn. The DVD also features interviews and comments from most of the artists and will be packaged with a 52-page book of Corbijn's drawings and photographs.

MADONNA has announced that, despite to rumours to the contrary, her forthcoming album will be called 'Confessions On The Dancefloor', however the rumours concerning the album containing a track called 'I Love New York' are true. The album is due for release towards the end of this year and a DVD filmed on her recent 're-Invention' tour will be released around the same time.

SIMPLE MINDS
will undertake 'a series of intimate concerts' across the UK in September in support of upcoming single 'Home' and album 'Black And White 050505'.

TOYAH is starting to announce dates for her one-woman tour of music and spoken-word material, 'An Audience With Toyah', which will play shows in Fife, Finchley and Stamford in September and October. Additionally, Toyah's 1985 album 'Minx' has been scheduled for an August 29th reissue featuring the original album alongside b-sides and bonus tracks. Plans are also in the pipeline to reissue her 'Desire' and '(Take the) Leap!' albums.

THE STRANGLERS are back in the studio working on songs for a forthcoming album, their sixteenth, which isn't expected until some time in 2006.

AZTEC CAMERA frontman RODDY FRAME has added a number of new shows to his 2005 schedule and will now be playing thirteen UK shows in October and November including a date at London's prestigious Bloomsbury Theatre on October 31st.

GEORGE MICHAEL is expected to release a duets album in October.

THE ASSOCIATES
' 1980 album 'The Affectionate Punch' will be reissued on August 1st in a remastered edition with four bonus tracks.

ERASURE singer ANDY BELL will release his first solo album on October 3rd. The album, 'Electric Blue', features two duets with PROPAGANDA singer CLAUDIA BRUCKEN and will be preceded by a single, 'Crazy', on September 26th. Live dates are also thought to be in the pipeline for late 2005 and early 2006.
