Thirty-four prime cuts from the frontline of today’s 1979 – 81 Blitz era inspired global electronic post punk/ synthpop underground.

Featuring exclusive songs and remixes alongside classic tracks, Generation Blitz brings together many of the most exciting names from the global electronic music scenes inspired by the Blitz Club era. The collection includes overt homage alongside creative deconstruction of some of the sounds and styles of the period. The set moves from sophisticated synth pop classics to electronic new wave floorfillers and takes in minimal electronic synth punk and outsider post punk along the way. These are the sounds of a global scene that is an open space for all genders, sexualities, ethnicities, ages and abilities.

Retrowave/Synthwave duo LOMBARDO from Venezuela decided to create this tribute/cover Synthwave version of the Prince classic ‘Nothing Compares To You’.

The electronic duo cited their reason to cover the classic song “We decided to do a remake of this classic song with one thing in mind, to make it deeper and more glam.“

The track is a sad love song, as always in LOMBARDO tracks this one is packed with tons of vocal harmonies and arrangements, one of their distinctive signatures.

For the second collaboration between Mike Haunted & Chris KD, the two artists deliver a catchy and groovy synthpop song named ‘Neverending Sunrise’ that plays like an '80s movie, end credits song.

The lyrics talk about a couple on the run who has nothing left to lose. During a chase on the highway the two are mesmerized by a magnificent and infinite sunrise who is rising again and again like a loop sequence. It turns out they hadn’t realised they died in a car crash on this no-return road trip.

Mike had this to say about the track ‘It's certainly the most cheerful track that I have written so far so I wanted to add something darker, with a dramatic edge into the lyrics to create a paradox. Chris did the job wonderfully with an enticing melody and power delivery.

This single is the second part of three tracks which are like a triptych. They will be on the next Mike Haunted' s EP 's coming soon.
