Marc's family would like you to know that he is progressing with his recovery in hospital. His family have passed on to him the overwhelming amount of good wishes which have been received and Marc is aware of all the messages of love and support. He still has a long way to go in his recovery and his family have asked that his privacy continue to be respected. They would also like to thank the staff at the hospital for their work in aiding his recovery so far.

THE EURYTHMICS may release a new album of original material next year. DAVE STEWART - who has just collaborated with MICK JAGGER on the new soundtrack for the film 'Alfie' - has been talking about going back into the studio with ANNIE LENNOX to make a follow-up to their 'Peace' album. Stewart has also revealed that Eurythics recorded an album of cover versions in the mid-eighties which has never been released but which may also see the light of day next year. Songs featured on the album reportedly include a version of THE SMITHS' 'Last Night I Dreamt Somebody Loved Me'...

NEW ORDER are apparently finishing work on their forthcoming, and as yet untitled album, and are cautiously working towards a March release with a possible single in February...

KYLIE MINOGUE announced four UK shows for 2005, in March, April and May last week which sold out in less than two hours! The singer whose 'Ultimate Collection' album is scheduled for release on Novmber 22nd, has promised that the tour 'Showgirl - The Greatest Hits Tour' will be her most spectacular so far has now added a further four shows with more shows rumoured to be in the pipeline. Kylie is also said to be thinking about inviting JASON DONOVAN to join her on the tour...

FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD will not reunite for TREVOR HORN's forthcoming concert for The Prince's Trust despite rumours to the contrary. The band may perform in a reduced form, but singer HOLLY JOHNSON will not be part of the line-up citing financial difficulties between himself and producer Trevor Horn as part of the reason... The show which is to be held at London's Wembley Arena will take place on November 11th and is expected to feature performances from a number of acts who have been produced by Horn, including ABC, THE ART OF NOISE, BUGGLES, DOLLAR, LISA STANSFIELD, PET SHOP BOYS, PROPAGANDA, SEAL, SIMPLE MINDS and YES.

GENE LOVES JEZEBEL are to have their first three albums, 'Promise', 'Immigrant' and 'Discover' reissued next year in remastered double CD packages featuring the original album as well as around a dozen bonus tracks per release.

FIVE STAR last week received a Lifetime Achievement Award at a special ceremony held at London's Ocean venue as part of Black Music History Day. Also in attendance were EDDY GRANT and MUSICAL YOUTH...

HEAVEN 17's MARTYN WARE and ERASURE's VINCE CLARKE, working under their 'Illustrious Company' banner, are hosting an arts event at London's Royal Institutuin on October 26th to 'discuss 'the future of sound in artistic, scientific and commercial fields, with the emphasis on creative, collaborative opportunities'.

THE BLOW MONKEYS frontman DR ROBERT will release his new album sometime in Spring next year, preceded by a retrospective album containing material from both The Blow Monkeys and Dr Robert solo. Plans are in the pipeline for UK shows soon...

BAND AID will re-release 'Do they Know It's Christmas' for the third time this year to tie-in with the original record's 20th Anniversary. The new release may feature a remix of the original 1984 single alongside a new version of the song sung by contemporary artists thought to include Coldplay, Travis and The Darkness, with the 1989 Band Aid 2 version on the B-side. The remix is expected to be done by a contemporary remixer and Fatboy Slim is rumoured to be working on it...

Marianne Rosenberg has just released a new album in Germany. It's called "Für Immer Wie Heute" and is preceeded by a single, "Marleen", which is already a big hit in Germany.

This new album is a collection of her most successful singles over the past 30 years and have all been re-recorded and have been produced by a new producers team that also worked with Cher, Enrique Iglesias, George Michael and the Pet Shop Boys.

The old versions where the German answer to the "Barry White Disco-Sound" of the 70's and 80's, the new versions combine new arrangements with more modern electro-beats.

For this new album she also worked with Mousse T., Xavier Naidoo and the "Söhne Mannheims".
