London based Synth-pop artist I Am Boleyn is pleased to announce a brand new track with the arrival of 'Driving In The Dark' this summer out on Aztec Records / Rough Trade.

Following on from her recent rework of The Corr's classic 'Breathless', 'Driving In The Dark' sonically inspired by the rock-pop synth queens of the 1980s like The GoGos, Debbie Harry, and The Bangles, continues I Am Boleyn's music evolution, fusing 80s new wave influences over lush, synth driven melodies and introspective lyricism.

Dubbed V Magazines 'New Favourite Artist' I Am Boleyn spends her time shuttling between London and Stockholm, working with Swedish based music production collective FMLY STHLM and Johannes Willinder. Influenced by Robyn, Annie, Goldfrapp and MS MR, her take on electro-pop brims with hints of neon lit 80's Berlin bars with a futuristic twist of Blade Runner.

After three songs released together, French producer Mike Haunted and French singer Chris KD are back with a new amazing collaboration. This time they've worked on a special cover of the song Summertime Sadness, originally written and performed by the legendary Lana Del Rey. They've used their typical sounds again to great effect. Bubbling arpeggiators, dynamic beats, synths 'ear-candy' and Mike Haunted's airy guitar, surfing like a modern cowboy and plunging the song into a timeless synthpop atmosphere.

Chris KD adds her smooth and emotional voice to wrap the song, but you'll have to listen to the track until the end to enjoy an additional part, closing the song with elevation and style.

26 May 2023 - Bunny X - Love Minus 80

Bunny X, based in New York City, are inspired by the music, film and culture of the 1980s. In contrast to their 80s retropop-leaning and John Hughes’ inspired debut album, Young & In Love, released in October 2021 with Aztec Records, their sophomore record, Love Minus 80, explores a darker and more introspective side of Bunny X. Love Minus 80 is a concept-driven collection of songs that were inspired by a number of science fiction/fantasy novels, films and television shows, many of which were published or released in the 1970s and 1980s.

On Love Minus 80, Bunny X has again collaborated with synthwave genre heavyweights SelloRekt / LA Dreams on two tracks - “Chiba City Blues” and “Breaking Away (Song for Chevette & Rydell) - and with Don Dellpiero on “Love is an Empire”. Bunny X has also joined forces with fellow labelmates Thought Beings on the title track “Love Minus 80”. And, after the successful collaboration on their debut album, Bunny X has reunited with NYC-based Billboard #1 charting producer Gosteffects on Love Minus 80.

Bunny X has long had a passionate interest in and affinity for the sci-fi/fantasy genre and, following the success of their retrowave track “Unknown Places”, about an interstellar romance, released independently in 2018, they decided to delve deeper into similar territory on Love Minus 80.
