Garbage have revealed that they will be playing a single warm-up show in London in preparation for their appearance at Download 2005. The band will play the Brixton Academy on Thursday June 9th and are expected to debut material from their forthcoming album "Bleed Like Me". The album, released on April 11th, will be preceded by a single, titled "Why Do You Love Me", on March 28th.
Speaking to XFM, singer Shirley Manson described the album as being more like the band's live sound. She said: "When people come to see us, nobody expects us to be that loud. It's like, 'oh my god, a rock band!' I don't think we've ever captured that on a record, but this one is the closest we have gotten."
The album will also include an appearance from Dave Grohl on the track "Bad Boyfriend".
The full tracklisting is as follows:
"Bad Boyfriend"
"Run Baby Run"
