LAU’s new single ‘The Storm’ will be out on August 30th ahead of her awaited third studio album ‘Digital Dream’, due at the end of the year.

LAU (AKA Laura Fares), a prominent figure in the Synthwave and Retrowave scenes, has co-written this synth pop track with American producer Brian Skeel, whom she collaborated on previous albums.

This mid-tempo nostalgic yet uplifting song is an ode to friendship. The Barcelona-based singer wanted to dedicate this song to her childhood friends, after a lifetime of memories, life experiences and adventures, standing together in good times and in bad times.

Reflecting about this single, LAU says: “No one knows me better than my friends, we have over 30 years of friendship and they are super important in my life. It’s rare and it’s beautiful to still be connected to them every day, even if we don’t live in the same country. This song is for them and for all the long-lasting friendships out there.”

LAU’s third studio album ‘Digital Dream’ will be out on November 15th.
