‘Strangers Again’ is the fantastic new single by Belgian producer SYNTRONIX and NYC duo Bunny X.
After nearly a year of trying to collaborate, and with Bunny X in the middle of finishing their latest album Young & In Love, the Belgian-based producer and prolific duo are finally releasing their long awaited collaboration.
Inspiration hits you in the most unlikely of places sometimes, and for Mary and Abigail, a late night Amtrak train from Washington, D.C. to New York last December worked as the perfect antidote to writer’s block. The melody and theme for the song came flashing like the passing lights and ‘Strangers Again’ was born.
The pulsating arpeggiator and understated drums perfectly evokes the feeling of traveling, that peaceful ‘suspension of time’ of a train trip that aids in creation and storytelling.
In their own words, Bunny X notes: ‘We can all relate to the emotions that arise when a relationship is in the process of ending - it's that fine line between wanting to make it work and knowing when it's time to walk away. Relationships, like other aspects of life, can and do come full circle. We all begin as strangers that become very close but often, when a relationship is coming to an end, we feel as if we never knew the other person at all, thus they are "strangers again."
Strangers Again will be released on Aztec Records on February 25.
After a successful career in modelling and acting, Victoria Arteeva teamed up with song writer and film composer Anton Fauve to produce an album of unique cutting edge contemporary pop under the name ARTEEVA.
The debut single, ‘Gotta Play Your Cards Right’ has a slow-paced seductive atmosphere, Arteeva’s melodic vocals wash over deep 80’s style synth hooks and loops. With current influences such as Billie Eilish & Dua Lipa, the overall sensual feel of the track and whispering inflections of the vocals make for a tense, enticing listen. Uplifting and mysterious, ‘Gotta Play Your Cards Right’ is a promising debut, the song perfectly showcases her uniquely soft and sensual voice and with it’s mid-tempo driving riff is sure to be an international success.
‘Gotta Play Your Cards Right’ is set to be released on Aztec Records on February 25.
