Prominent Retrowave/Synthwave figure LAU has teamed up with British producer Zak Vortex for the first time, to deliver a Synthwave version of the Cyndi Lauper classic ‘True Colors’.
LAU says about this release: “This is one of my favourite tracks of all time, so when Zak sent me the instrumental I was blown away by it and couldn’t wait to record it”.
The track is a moodier, more synth oriented version of the classic 80’s song, full of harmonies and gospel background vocals, that LAU delivers powerfully in her lower range. The pulsating synths and guitars from Zak Vortex add the perfect Synthwave elements to reinvent this classic for new audiences and beyond.
Le Flex first started his music project to attract as many groupies as possible. Instead all he gets are DJs messaging him to collaborate on their half-finished ideas. He writes sublime synth pop to make you dance, and ballads to tempt your inner lover. His new album is rumoured to be able to heal the sick when they listen to it. He loves sunshine, Whisky, and looking under his bed.
