16 Jan 2021 - KEiiNO - Monument

Since their debut in January 2019, KEiiNO has achieved more than most fresh bands. The platinum-awarded trio is nominated for Song of the Year at the Norwegian Grammys (28.03.20), they've won 4 Scandipop-awards, made it to #1 on the Norwegian sales-charts and reached #2 on Spotify’s Gloabal Viral Chart.  Popjustice even ranked their debut-single “Spirit in the Sky” the third best song of 2019.

Left up to the 200 million TV-viewers of Eurovision, KEiiNO would have won the contest in 2019 (Ranked #6). Their mix of uplifting dance-pop, nordic folk, and joik, combined with traditional Sámi elements, has reached a broad audience beyond their nordic beginnings. Their debut-song charted well across Europe, and was #10 on the Global iTunes Charts. Perhaps not surprising, as the public in eight countries including the UK, Germany, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands had KEiiNO on top in the ESC.

This year they want to represent Norway again in the ESC 2021 with this superb new song called "Monument"! Let's hope the Norwegian public will vote for them en masse and send them of to Rotterdam for the 2021 edition of the ESC!

03 Jan 2021 - LAU - The Cards

The Cards’ is the latest output of rising Synthwave/Retrowave star LAU. The singer/producer and songwriter has been feeding her growing fanbase one single at the time and has teamed up once more with French Producer Ends 84 in anticipation of her debut album in early 2021.

Like a stream of consciousness, the lyrics of ‘The Cards’ reflect on the philosophical meaning of one’s life events. Like an ever present truth that only time reveals to be, the song's ear-candy arrangements and subtleties gently make a mark on the listener.

Like a true story teller, LAU has taken us in a journey of healing and transformation. ‘The Cards’ is the light at the end of the tunnel that we were all waiting for. An honest and hopeful Synthpop masterpiece.

23 Dec 2020 - NINA ft. LAU - Control

Control’ is undoubtedly a gloomier body of work than NINA has released before, despite her expressions of loss, she is still The Queen Of Synthwave. Her voice is still on top starlet form, so these five songs don’t quite venture into the gothwave territory.

Control’ ably showcases the range of dynamic possibilities that NINA has opened herself to within both pop and darker music directions, so it will be very interesting to see where she heads next once she has settled down in her new environment.
