Taken then from their upcoming new album 'Love On The Edge of Desire', The Lightning Kids cover Bruce Springsteen's iconic 1985 single, 'I'm On Fire'. Recorded during studio sessions, 'I'm On Fire' is a re-working of the classic single, putting a low-fi, rootsy electronic-folk take on the song, putting Emma's vocals at the forefront of stripped back muted electric guitars and subtle vocoder and heartbeats. 'I'm On Fire' is the 2nd time, The Lightning Kids have done a cover version, following their successful take of 'The Boys of Summer' in 2022, which gave the band a viral Tik Tok moment and over 1.5m streams on Spotify. 'I'm On Fire' was produced by the band with mixing and mastering coming from Brian Skeel.

After the worldwide success of his latest album 'Fooled By The Rush Of Growing Up' Kidburn is releasing a collaborative EP with his friend and fellow Synthwave / Synthpop producer Future Analog. This two track EP is a truly joint effort in emotive and powerful songwriting along with powerful 0roduction & 0erformances. It is a project born at the end of the summer and tells a sci-fi love story through music. Kidburn's soaring vocals truly encapsulate the story of both tracks combined with rich powerful layered synths and powerful guitar lines. Both songs started in Future Analog's studio as demos with further development and fantastic performances from Kidburn. 'Disappear' tells of lost love and yearning for that feeling again 'I reach for you , but you are never near, lost in love, I disappear'. 'Echoes' is a continuation of this theme but with a more melancholy vibe , the initial Lyric idea was to talk about feelings of loss and grief and how those impact our lives and experiences 'I miss her voice, I miss her smile, you're so far away, every mile. I'm chasing echoes, I'm chasing time, but your a star I'll never find' Kidburn & Future Analog have plans to work together more in the near future.

Propaganda announce “A Secret Sense of Rhythm: A Secret Sense of Sin”.

German synth-pop Propaganda band formed in Düsseldorf in 1982. They signed with ZTT Records in 1983 and released their first single "Dr Mabuse" in 1984. This was followed by their debut studio album A Secret Wish, two of the album's singles, "Dr. Mabuse" and "Duel", were UK Top 30 hits.

A Secret Wish which was written by Mertens and Dörper it received considerable critical acclaim reaching number 16 on the UK Albums Chart. The album was followed by the single, p:Machinery which became a hit in Italy, France, the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland.

The group spent the rest of the year on their "Outside World" tour, taking in Europe and America. A remix album, Wishful Thinking, was released in November 1985. Originally intended for the American club market, the album was also released in Europe.

This box set compiled and curated by ZTT expert Ian Peel brings together the album as well a selection of rare mixes, unreleased tracks, and some live material. Housed in a compact sturdy CD box, the booklet contains a note by Ian on the history of the band and the impact the album has had over the years.
