Texas return with the storming new single, ‘Getaway’, the perfect appetiser for their forthcoming album, ‘Red Book’, which is being served up in the autumn. Texas have long established a lineage of classic, upbeat, radio-slaying pop singles,
with ‘Getaway’ joining the ranks alongside ‘Black Eyed Boy’, ‘Inner Smile’ and Halo’ as the sound of Texas at their peak; with its urgent feisty shout from Sharleen Spiteri over a three-minute rollercoaster of pianos, guitars and electronics we see the band back on form.
