10 Dec 2008 - News From Saint Etienne

So, here are the details on our forthcoming (Feb 9) double A-side, This Is Tomorrow c/w Method Of Modern Love. No, Method Of Modern Love is not a Hall & Oates cover - though that does give us the idea of doing something intreeging with Kiss On My List...

It will appear in three limited edition formats - 2 cds and a 7" - as well as a download package.
On the 7" are the radio mixes, both mixed by the xtra super Richard X.

CD1 features Method Of Modern Love (radio mix) and the film version of This Is Tomorrow, previously only available as a free 45 with The Illustrated Ape mag last year.

CD2 includes the Cola Boy mix of Method Of Modern Love - yes, he's resurfaced after 18 years in the lucrative world of soft drinks. Also, there's the Richard X Join Our Clique mix of Method Of Modern Love.

The download package includes a Moroder-esque mix of Method Of Modern Love by the splendid Heartbreak, and an a capella
for you to fool around with.

Because of the ever stranger UK chart regulations (and because we do want a Top 40 hit, I'm sure you understand), it will only be initially available in the UK. But don't worry, because an equally beautiful and limited export edition will follow a couple of weeks later.

Details on how to pre-order, and a sneak preview of the artwork will follow soon.

Yes, it's the ideal, modern, Valentines day gift. Don't ever say we have bad timing.

Oh, and of course a mere week after this on Feb 16th (German pressing plants willing) we'll release our all-encompassing Saint Etienne historical package, London Conversations.

====================================================================

PS If you're in Brighton this weekend (14th December) pop in to the Sunday Seance: Pete and
friends will be playing a selection of fine and ill matched music from 3 til 10pm in the relaxed
environs of the Hotel Pelirocco, Regency Square. Its Free.
