Hi to everyone, We’re heading towards the end of 2008 with a lot of great achievements and experiences under our belts. We’re proud to say that our second single from Open Soul, ‘Headin' For A Fall’, is out Monday. Like ‘Labour of Love’ in 1987, which was written a few years before the general election of that year, ‘Headin’ For A Fall’ seems to have been just as timed to the headlines! Though as the chorus says, if the “brothers and sisters” get together, we’ll surely beat this thing... Hope you enjoy our video for the single - Gregory certainly enjoyed knocking lumps out of an abandoned SUV with a sledgehammer.??(Symbolism? Us?) We also wanted to let you know about a special gift we’ve sorted out for your Xmas - a coffee-table-style diary of our re-entry into the pop mainstream in 2008, titled (of course!) “Opened Soul”. We've prepared all the text and contributed our own notes and images. We think it’s a really rich and entertaining read - maybe too honest in places (do you really need to know about our pink Darth Vader facial steamer?). But that’s why it’s called “Opened Soul”. And finally, not forgetting our second UK tour to promote the new album, the ‘Open Soul...Open Road’ tour in February 09. As well as kicking up the size of the venues (ABC in Glasgow, Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London), we’re making forays into different parts of England, and doing some long awaited Irish gigs in Belfast and Dublin. We’re so looking forward to this! As usual, we’ll be recording every note in sound and image, and encouraging you to sign up to the History City sites and suggest songs.
