20 Aug 2008 - Hue And Cry: An Update

Hi there,??

The wait is nearly over for us and very soon our new music will finally be out. The release of
'The Last Stop’ single on September 1st and the Open Soul album on September 15th will be
the pinnacle of a great deal of endeavour by us both of late.??

As we’ve mentioned before, we’re absolutely delighted that so many people have joined the
Hue and Cry Music Club. We put a lot of work into all of the exclusive content to be found
there and we’ve really been enjoying all of your activity and interaction (please keep it up!).
We are thrilled at your reaction to our new material and glad that so many of you were able
to take us up on the free download of ‘Plan B’, the rest of you will have to wait on the album :-)

It’s been great for us to hear that ‘The Last Stop’ single is being played on the radio all over
the country, in fact we just heard it ourselves on a well known national station yesterday
afternoon! Speaking of radio stations, we’ll be partnering up with a few of them and other
media in the forthcoming weeks to give people the chance to attend one of some small
intimate performances we'll be doing shortly.

On the subject of performances, our band are really sounding fantastic at the moment and
we’ve been busy rehearsing for our September tour where not only will we be introducing a
few of the new songs to the set alongside the old favourites, but we’ll have some nice
surprises in store for you as well!

There’s more details on the above below, meanwhile take care and we hope to see you soon.
Keep checking in for updates!

Until the next time.

All the best,

Pat & Greg

Being bad or wicked just won't do any more! It's time for out-and-out Evil!
??
This amazing debut from Giant Jr, the first single from their forthcoming album "Wherever You Are In The World Here Are Directions Home", is incredibly infectious; they have a totally unexpected way with sounds, and their Eartha Kitt sample is one of the cheekiest you will have heard, selling your soul to the Devil never sounded like so much fun!
??
Featuring stunning mixes from Spencer & Hill and The Young Punx, this is a very strong single. Spencer & Hill were of course the remixers behind Sugababes' "About You Now", Booty Luv's "Some Kinda Rush", and "Cry For You" by September, and now have done it again with a massive floor-filling mix for Giant Jr.

The Young Punx dirty electro house mix of edgy cut-ups is truly storming, and already part of Norman Cook's set, receiving an ecstatic reaction at his recent massive Hyde Park show.
??
Giant Jr is a mysterious boy/girl duo from London, and with an outrageous home-made Barbie video accompanying "I Want To Be Evil", plus a collection of other stunning tunes, a sound all their own and a world that needs them, the future for Giant Jr looks awesome.
??
Released on their own Try And Make Me Records, through Universal, "I Want To Be Evil" is sure to be the first of many hits from Giant Jr.
