31 Dec 2006 - Marc Almond In The News

Marc Almond will be doing two special nights at Wiltons Music Hall in Londons East End around the beginning of May.
Marc Almond has always felt a part of the music hall tradition and he aims to put on two minimally amplified shows in the spirit of music hall and to bring attention to Wiltons, one of the only surviving authentic old Victorian Music Halls. Do not contact the venue for dates or tickets yet as ticket details and exact dates for the very limited seating will not be available until nearer the event itself. Marc Almond still hopes to do a major London appearance before then. The Wiltons shows will be a special event. For further information on Wiltons Music Hall visit
www.wiltons.org.uk.

The new album, Stardom Road, is still being finished and mixed and will have a major release in 2007. Those that have heard the album say it’s phenomenal and fantastic.

??
The DVD compilation, All The A's, is a legal minefield that has resulted in delays but will eventually also be released in 2007. It is out of his??control and he finds it as frustrating as some of you do when??there are given release dates only to have them changed...

Both the CD and DVD contain two versions of 'Way You Walk', the original and the Daxman remix. The CD/DVD can be purchased direct from the So website.

30 Dec 2006 - The Ark Sends A Message

??

????
Dear fans and friends, it is true. We WILL participate in the swedish part of the eurovision song contest, and yes, that is a bit crazy. But we also feel that that it will be a damn fun thing to do, and we hope that you all will join us on this crazy and fun adventure.

We promise that we will carry your banner high and represent the followers of The Ark in the not too substance filled world that is the Eurovision. The Ark has always been a band that has pushed the limits in terms of what a rock band can do, and besides, we have always had warm feelings for the classic schlager-genre the way it sounded in the seventies and in the eighties. We feel that the Eurovision could use a healthy dose of the old glam element again, and we mean glam as in glam rock, and also, a band that is good FOR REAL.

So... Let´s just go fo it! Let´s throw ourselves off this cliff and together we'll do something interesting and fun out of it.

The Ark
