The Opiates started with the intention of being an ambient project. Bored, they soon said: f???ck this, and wrote the kind of songs that moved them in cerebral as well as booty shaking ways.
??
The Opiates are Robert Solheim and Billie Ray Martin.
??
Their forthcoming album ‘Hollywood Under The Knife’ explores paths pioneered by the Chicago house and Detroit techno heroes, not least Electribe 101, with the aim of taking things forward a step in history.
??
Although Kraftwerk and Yazoo have been mentioned as influences, their very unique brand of electronic music is as much Carpenters as it is cutting-edge electro, with a nod to current minimal influences.
??
The Opiates are radical because they do not shy away from the rare match of songwriting and cutting-edge beats and bleeps.
??
Hollywood Under The Knife will boldly go where the best of electronic duo crossover albums have gone before and will appeal as much to the charts as to the underground, to film and television as much as radio and beyond.

????Kylie Minogue - 2 Hearts

'2 Hearts' is the first taster of Kylie's brand new studio album 'X'. Written and produced by London-based electro group Kish Mauve, '2 Hearts' is the sort of showstopping comeback we've come to expect from the Princess of Pop, who reinvents herself once again with this succinct glamtastic pop masterpiece.
????Robyn - Handle Me

Robyn follows her number one single 'With Every Heartbeat' with 'Handle Me', a track as feisty as pop songs come. Full of hip hop flavoured attitude and with a chorus that should be heard across schoolyards for months to come, 'Handle Me' is taken from her silver selling, eponymous album 'Robyn'.
????Sugababes - About You Now

Sugababes, the most successful female act of the century (British Hit Singles and Albums), release the brand new single from their forthcoming album 'Change'. 'About You Now' was recorded with Dr Luke (Kelis, Pink, Missy Elliott), and marks a distinct new sound for the band, whilst effortlessly preserving that unique Sugababes flavour.

2. Here Comes That Day [Flykkiler Mix]
3. Here Comes That Day [Freelance Hellraiser Fuzzy Kerbox Mix]

????Tracey Thorn - Grand Canyon (2x 12")

2. Grand Canyon [King Unique Come Home Vocal]
3. Grand Canyon [King Unique Wrong Road Dub]

????Seal - Amazing

'Amazing' is the latest instalment of Seal’s massively successful career, taken from his fifth album ‘System’, which “is a return to my roots,” Seal says. With its shimmering melodies, glistening layers of synths and acoustic guitar, and supple, electronic beats, the album is a collaboration with Stuart Price, best known for his work on Madonna’s 'Confessions on a Dancefloor'.
