Morrissey will snub the US Rock 'N' Roll Hall Of Fame in 2008 because he doesn't want to share a stage with The Smiths, it has been claimed.
??
The indie legends are reported to be amongst the groups set for induction into the music pantheon next year in New York City. However, the band's iconic former singer has apparently already ruled out attending the ceremony because of an ongoing rivalry with drummer Mike Joyce.
??
The Smiths were embroiled in an acrimonious lawsuit over royalties in 1996, and Morrissey has always spoken bitterly about his former band mate.
??
"Morrissey has never forgiven Joyce and if organisers think he's going to bury the hatchet by joining him to accept this award, they've got another thing coming. "The only way he could be persuaded to turn up would be if Joyce decides not to attend", a 'friend' explained.
??
The nominees for the US Rock 'N' Roll Hall Of Fame in 2008 have yet to be announced.

What Have You Done Today, Mervyn Day? will be screened as part of the East End Film Festival at 6.30pm on Wednesday 25th April at the Rio Cinema in Dalston.
??
See
www.eastendfilmfestival.com for more details.
??
Here's how they describe it:
??
Named??after??a 1970s West Ham goalkeeper, What Have You Done Today, Mervyn Day? is a dreamy snapshot of the Lower Lea Valley and is an oral history of a??part??of London that is being developed to house the 2012 Olympic Games. This eastern fringe, the capital's last remaining wilderness, represents an unruly??kind??of??beauty.
??
??????
The overgrown, tumbledown roughscape of pylons, dirty canals and industrial warehouses that it offers is the antithesis of the gentrified, boom-time??city of London.??Accompanied?? by??a haunting Saint Etienne soundtrack, this is Paul Kelly's??follow??up to Finisterre (2003) and documents the changes past and present??that??the Lea??Valley has seen and looks forward to it's future.
Featuring the voices of David Essex and Linda Robson.

Spandau Ballet are poised to reform after singer signalled he was ready to bury the hatchet, following a bitter break-up. The 80s band had a spectacular fall-out which ended in the High Court.
??
Hadley, Steve Norman and John Keeble sued Gary Kemp for a £1 million share of the songwriting royalties but lost. Kemp reportedly approached Hadley about a reunion for Live 8 in 2005 but was turned down. However, Hadley now says he is prepared to put the past behind him.
??
Discussing his hopes for a reunion on Virgin Radio's Shane Richie show, he said: "There'll have to be an awful lot of things remedied because things did get personal and it went a bit too far. "The next window of opportunity that I see would be our 30th anniversary, in about four years' time."
??
The band had their first hit with To Cut A Long Story Short in November 1980.
They had a string of hits including True, Gold and Through The Barricades.
They had their last top 40 single in 1987 with How Many Lies.
