20th March (UK) sees the release of?? 'Boy', a four track CD which features:

1) 'Boy' (taken from Erasure's forthcoming acoustic album 'Union Street')
2) 'Cry So Easy' (recorded for 'Union Street' but ultimately not included)
3) 'I Bet You're Mad At Me' (live BBC Radio version)
4) 'Jacques Cousteau' (a synth instrumental track)

'Union Street' Album (North America)

The North American release date of 'Union Street' has been confirmed as 18th April.

Michael Stipe of R.E.M. has recorded Joseph Arthur's song, In the Sun, for Gulf Coast relief. Six different versions of the song have been complied as an EP and will be made available as an iTunes exclusive on February 5th (this Sunday) at 11pm ET. 

The EP features guest appearances from some of Michael's friends including James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Chris Martin (Coldplay), and Joseph Arthur, and includes a special mix by Justin Timberlake and Will.I.Am (Black Eyed Peas). All proceeds from the song will aid Mercy Corps in their continuing efforts to respond to needs along the Gulf Coast.

‘Sorry’ will be released as a maxi-single on February 20 in the UK and on February 28 in the U.S.

It will feature remixes by Man with Guitar, The Pet Shop Boys, Green Velvet and Paul Oakenfold! Here is the full tracks-listing:

MORRISSEY has announced more dates as part of his forthcoming 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors' tour (See below). The former SMITHS frontman has announced Irish shows as well as a London show which will take place at Alexandra Palace on May 1st.

Morrissey will also be playing a special US show at the Austen Music Hall as part of the Texan music festival South By Southwest on March 16th where he will also be interviewed by Rolling Stone's David Fricke about his experiences in the music industry, the interview will take place in front of an audience of conference delegates and parts of both the interview and the performance will be broadcast by the BBC.
