Morrissey has again dismissed the idea of The Smiths reforming, claming the rest of the band don't deserve to share a stage with him.
The former singer with the indie legends revealed earlier this year that he'd been offered £5 million to get back together with Johnny Marr, Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke.
However, Morrissey dismissed the plan initially and has now gone on to say he's no longer friends with the other members of The Smiths and sees no point in a reconciliation. |  |
"I'm not placed on the Earth to torment ex-musicians. My life is gratifying at the moment musically, so why become part of The Smiths again? What's the point?" he said. "I feel as if I've worked very hard since the demise of The Smiths and the others haven't, so why hand them attention that they haven't earned? We are not friends, we don't see each other. Why on earth would we be on a stage together?" Morrissey asked The Times. |
