DURAN DURAN have announced the UK leg of their 'Red Carpet Massacre' tour and will play four UK shows in July. See GIGS for all the dates. The band will also play shows at Copenhagen's Folkeparken on June 21st and the city's KB Hall on June 22nd.

THE BANGLES, THE BEAT, PAUL SIMON, CARBON/SILICON and CROWDED HOUSE will all play at this year's Cornbury Music Festival on July 5th and 6th.

YAZOO will reissue their single 'Nobody's Diary' on May 12th as a 12" vinyl disc and as a download in advance of the release of their much anticipated 4 disc box set 'In Your Room' which follows on May 26th (tracklisting below). The vinyl single will feature the original remaster of 'Nobody's Diary' plus Andy Bell & JC and Koishii & Hush remixes while the download features the same tracks plus an additional GRN remix. BUCKS FIZZ will release a rarities collection 'Lost Masters 2 - The Final Cut' in May featuring over 30 tracks including unheard tracks, alternate mixes, demos and special extended mixes including a new mix of 'Every Dream Has Broken' reworked as the 'High Energy Ibiza Style' mix.

BLONDIE are to tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their 1978 album 'Parallel Lines'. See GIGS for all the dates - in the USA, the UK and Norway - announced so far.

THE HUMAN LEAGUE will play at this year's Lovebox Festival which will take place in London's Victoria Park on July 19th and 20th.

ERASURE are to auction the costumes from their 2007 'Light At The End Of The World' tour on eBay in aid of charities The Stroke Association and Scope. The ten day auction will start tonight, see NEWS for the auction link.

ALTERED IMAGES will join TOYAH, KID CREOLE & THE COCONUTS, BANANARAMA, KIM WILDE, BELINDA CARLISLE and PAUL YOUNG at a newly announced HERE AND NOW summer show which will take place at the Breamore Estate near Fordingbridge in Hampshire on September 13th.

THE CHRISTIANS are playing the Crosby Music Festival on May Bank Holiday weekend, on a bill that also features THE LA's John Power. The Christians have also lined up a short UK tour, see GIGS for all the dates.

TOYAH will headline this year's Festival Too event in Norfolk on July 5th.

RICK ASTLEY will release a 2CD retrospective 'The Ultimate Collection' on April 28th in the wake of his renaissance coutesy of YouTube where his 'Never Gonna Give You Up' video has become the most viewed pop video on the site following a spate of 'rick-rolling' which has seen gossip sites promise celebrity pictures but instead link to the video as a joke. BOMB THE BASS will release a new album 'Future Chaos' - their first for thirteen years - in May and will play their first live show for 20 years at London's Astoria on June 4th.

THE WATERBOYS are the latest band to be added to the bill of Ireland's 'Electric Picnic' and will play the festival on August 29th.

THE B-52s have announced a handful of UK shows to take place in July in support of their forthcoming album 'Funplex' which is released on April 14th. See GIGS for all the dates. KATRINA LESKANICH of KATRINA AND THE WAVES will release a new single 'They Don't Know' - a collaboration with Sleazesisters - on May 19th preceded by mixes of the song which will be in clubs from this week.

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK have reformed and announced today that they will not only tour but will also release a brand new album. Their first new performance together will take place on the US 'Today' TV show on May 16th.

THOMPSON TWINS fans have organised an online petition calling for the release of a Thompson Twins rarities album. The band's TOM BAILEY has said that he will help go through the band's archives to find suitable tracks if public demand leads to a label taking the project on. See NEWS for the petition link.

A-HA singer MORTEN HARKET will release his new album 'Letter From Egypt' on May 19th in Norway but there is currently no news on further international releases. Meanwhile Harket will join his A-Ha colleagues MAGNE F and SAVOY for a second concert of their solo projects at a second concert at Oslo's Rockefeller on May 21st.
