Morrissey has joked that he would rather eat his own testicles than reform The Smiths.

As previously reported, Morrissey and Johnny Marr were offered millions to reform the band by the Coachella Festival this year but snubbed the interview. Now, in a candid interview with Uncut, Morrissey spelt out in no uncertain terms that a reunion wouldn’t happen.??
He said: “I would rather eat my own testicles than reform The Smiths, and that’s saying something for a vegetarian.”

When did you first want to be a singer?
When I was two. I saw The Righte
ous Brothers on television. Bill and Bobby. I thought, fantastic. That's me.

Loved and lost or never loved at all?
I only know the latter.

Natacha Atlas- Mish Maoul

Natacha Atlas' incredible new album 'Mish Maoul' is released today (April 24th) on Mantra Recordings.

As befits her globe-trotting lifestyle and influences, Middle Eastern singer Natacha Atlas continues to create a body of work that refuses to be neatly categorised.

"Dazzling slices of international pop, twenty first century style" - The Observer

"The queen of new north African cool" - The Guardian

"The new album is intimate & biographical...Atlas describes her work as "saying no to fear". On Mish Maoul Atlas has done just that." - Independent

The debut album from the enigmatic The Blue Nile received tremendous reviews, yet barely scraped the chart. The promise was there, and it took shape on the second album Hats. Paul Buchanan's pleading voice is made for late-night listening in a cosy bedsitting room. Mulling over love lost, love found, happy times, sad times and kitchen sinks (I lied about the last bit, but you get the picture), a beautiful landscape of evocative music soaks in rather than hitting you first time. The Blue Nile can be played over and over again, which is why they have only felt the need to put out three records in 15 years.
