BOY GEORGE, CHRIS REA, OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN and CLIFF RICHARD are expected to be among artists contributing to a special single to raise funds for the Tsunami Relief Fund. The project is being overseen by radio DJ Mike Read who also wrote the song 'Grief Never Grows Old'. The single is expected to be recorded and released by the end of the month.

GO WEST's epic hit 'We Close Our Eyes' has been sampled and covered by dance duo Groove Cutters. Their version of the song - which features their own club mix as well as mixes from Young Punx and Raul Rincon - is already getting club and radio play and will be released commercially on February 14th. Go West have also added a number of new shows to their forthcoming 20th Anniversary tour later this year.

MORRISSEY, DAVID BOWIE and THE CHAMELEONS are among artists featured in a new exhibition of rock photography in Manchester. 'Photography Live In Concert' opens in Manchester's Night & Day Cafe on January 9th and features work by international photographer Sonja Niemeier.

BILLY IDOL and HUGH CORNWELL are among the names who will appear at the forthcoming 'South By South West' festival. The music industry conference will take place in Austin, Texas from March 16—20.

ADAM ANT is expected to release extensively remastered and expanded versions of his albums 'Friend Or Foe', 'Strip' and 'Vive Le Rock' on March 1st.

NEW ORDER's forthcoming studio album will be called 'Waiting For The Sirens Call' and is due for release on March 28th preceded by a single 'Krafty' on March 14th.

PSYCHEDELIC FURS frontman RICHARD BUTLER will release a solo album 'Richard Butler' in March.

DEPECHE MODE will be the cover stars of a new one-off magazine, dedicated to the history of electropop, produced by Q and Mojo Magazines. 'Depeche Mode & The Story of Electropop' will feature a brand new interview with DM alongside new interviews with HUMAN LEAGUE and HEAVEN 17 and anbd will cover the contributions to the scene made by a whole host of artists including OMD, KRAFTWERK, DAVID BOWIE, PET SHOP BOYS, NEW ORDER, JAPAN and SOFT CELL. The magazine will be available through newsagents on January 14th.

KAJAGOOGOO will play their first gig with recently recruited frontman Dan Bryan on July 23rd at a special outdoor event in Cardiff that see's the newly reformed band playing on a bill that is expected to include MIDGE URE, THE STRANGLERS, HEAVEN 17, ABC, GO WEST, HOWARD JONES, T'PAU, HAZEL O'CONNOR, ALL ABOUT EVE and MODERN ROMANCE.
