BOY GEORGE is to be the subject of a Channel 4 TV documentary entitled 'The Madness Of Boy George' which concentrates in the former CULTURE CLUB singer's past year which saw him arrested for cocaine posession for which he has done community service picking up litter in New York.

CYNDI LAUPER
has lined up a twenty-seven date US tour to support her recent (excellent!) album 'The Body Acoustic'. Dates take place in September??& October and are listed in the GIGS section.

DEAD OR ALIVE frontman PETE BURNS is back in the recording studio working on tracks with producer Paul Masterson.

DEACON BLUE
have added more dates to their winter tour with extra shows announced in Dublin, Glasgow and Liverpool. See GIGS for all the tour dates.

THE CULT
have expanded their forthcoming UK tour, adding shows in Bristol and Southampton to the six dates previously announced. See GIGS for all the shows.

MARTI PELLOW will release his new album 'Moonlight Over Memphis' via DMGTV on October 2nd to coincide with his upcoming tour UK dates, see GIGS for all the dates.

ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN
are to release a CD and DVD anthology 'More Songs To Learn And Sing' on September 11th. The release will also be available as a single audio CD. See NEWS for the full DVD and CD tracklistings.

CHINA CRISIS
will play a one-off show at Birkenhead's Pacific Road Arts Centre,??September 16th.

RODDY FRAME
has announced a run of Japanese dates in September to support his new album 'Western Skies'. The shows include an instore performance and signing session from the former AZTEC CAMERA frontman in Shinjuku. See GIGS for all the dates and details.

SCRITTI POLITTI have announced their first ever US tour dates which start on October 29th in LA and finish in Boston on November 12th. The band are also lining up more UK shows for the new year. See GIGS for all the deates announced so far.

KYLIE MINOGUE
has announced two Manchester shows as part of her upcoming 'Showgirl - Homecoming' tour. The shows will take place at manchester's MEN Arena in January after her six-night run at London's Wembley Arena. See GIGS for all the dates.

BELINDA CARLISLE, TAYLOR DAYNE and RICHARD MARX will be among artists pairing up with non-music celebrities for the new Fox TV show 'Celebrity Duets' which starts at the end of August.

MODERN ROMANCE mainman ANDY KYRIACOU is writing an book based on his diaries from the band's heyday and since and is looking for memories or pictures of the band from fans, if you have anything to contribute please email us. In the meantime Modern Romance will release their first CD hits collection, 'The Platinum Collection', on October 2nd, see NEWS on the website for the full album tracklisting.

DURAN DURAN will play a one-off Polish show on September 23rd at a special launch event for telecom company Neostrada who will be distributing tickets to customers and competition winners.
