13 Oct 2023 - Dualarity - 1990 Again

Dualarity, the dynamic musical duo known for their genre-blending soundscapes, is set to captivate audiences with their latest release, '1990 Again'. The UK based duo comprising David Bartlett and Luke Hayes-Middleton fuse elements of 1980s-inspired synth pop, contemporary pop, and synthwave.

'1990 Again' resonates with those who have ever pondered the idea of being born in the wrong era, yearning for the simplicity of the past or the boundless possibilities of the future. Dualarity's evocative lyrics paint a vivid portrait of the conflict between the desire to escape the present and the reality of navigating a world dominated by digital connectivity.

Set against a backdrop of retro-futuristic synth melodies, the single's rich musicality channels the spirit of the 1980s while infusing it with a contemporary flair. The mesmerizing synthesis of synth pop and synthwave elements creates a sonic landscape that is both nostalgically comforting and strikingly innovative.

'The Darkest Place' is the first single from the upcoming remix album by Bunny X and was thoughtfully and expertly remixed by Ukrainian spacesynth artist Earmake (NewRetroWave). Set in distant space, the futuresynth track was loosely based on and inspired by The Expanse book series, written by James S.A. Corey, and centers around a protagonist on a desperate, decade-long hunt across different galaxies to find their missing loved one. While the original track is moody and mid-tempo, Earmake's remix creates an even more atmospheric sound with a pulsating rhythm and driving pace, prompting the listener to imagine they too are on a perilous journey into deep space.
