26 Mar 2009 - Hue And Cry News

Hi all,

Just recovering from our Open Soul...Open Road tour - and it has to be said, one of the best tours we've done in 20-odd years. Musically, venue-wise, and especially the audience... We've so enjoyed all the videos, photos, messages, comments - and collages! - that you've uploaded to the Hue And Cry Music Club from the tour. It was designed to bring you right into the heart of what we do as musicians, and it seems to be working - with your participation! We're on it all the time, so see you there...

And it's great to be able to announce a one-off and very special gig - we're headlining the Burns An’ A’ That! Festival in Ayr this year. At least one of us has sung Burns songs to tired children at bed-time ever since the early nineties, and doubtless whirled ourselves around ceilidh dance floors before that... so it's a great honour to play at it.

Lots more in the pipeline for 2009 - keep reading these mails and you'll hear about them here first...

best, love,
Pat and Greg x ??

We are pleased to reveal that Hue and Cry have been announced as a headline act for the upcoming Burns An’ A’ That Festival. Taking place from 16th to 24th May, the festival celebrates the life and works of Robert Burns with contemporary Scottish culture in his home town of Ayrshire.

Hue and Cry will play at the Festival Club in Wellington Square, Ayr on Friday 22nd May. Tickets for the gig officially go on sale from Monday 30th March but Hue and Cry fans have exclusive early access to tickets from Thursday 26th March 2009. To take advantage of this exclusive offer, all you need to do is log on to the
Hue and Cry Music Club and follow the links. If you’re not yet a member it’s easy to register, just go to www.hueandcry.co.uk to sign up. ??
