Soft Cell announce reissue of their classic 1982 remix album ‘Non-Stop Ecstatic Dancing’ on the 20th June 2025 via Universal Music.

The reissued double album also features remixes from Erasure, The Hacker, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Daniel Miller and Hi-Fi Sean.

Soft Cell will be touring throughout 2025, including a full US tour with Simple Minds in May, and a headline show at Rewind Festival in August.

Synth pop pioneers Soft Cell will reissue their classic remix album ‘Non-Stop Ecstatic Dancing’ on the 20th June 2025 via Universal Music. The 1982 original, inspiring generations of clubbers, DJs and remixers the world over, is fully remastered and bolstered by the inclusion of extended versions of its two hit singles, the smouldering melodrama of ‘Torch’, which famously just missed becoming Soft Cell’s second Number One hit by being kept off the top spot by Adam Ant, plus the top three hit ‘What!’, a cover of Melinda Marx’s 1965 Northern Soul heartache anthem. All is brought bang up to date with a second disc of remixes including Erasure, The Hacker, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Daniel Miller and Hi-Fi Sean, alongside highlights from 2007’s long-deleted ‘Heat – The Remixes’.

Soft Cell, aka singer, frontman and LGBTQ icon Marc Almond and multi-instrumentalist and producer Dave Ball, made their name in the clubs of Leeds, London, New York and Berlin before pop stardom hit with their groundbreaking, subversive performance of ‘Tainted Love’ on Top of the Pops in 1981. A rework of key moments from the electronic duo’s seminal debut album ‘Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret’, alongside a couple of unreleased tracks, ‘Non-Stop Ecstatic Dancing’ is hailed as one of the very first remix albums, and reached number 6 in the UK album charts in June 1982. It was closely followed by The Human League – temporarily renamed as The League Unlimited Orchestra – releasing their own extended rework of 1981’s electro pop classic ‘Dare’ in ‘Love and Dancing’.

Non-Stop Ecstatic Dancing’ features six dancefloor-slaying tracks, including, in addition to aforementioned singles, an extended version of ‘Memorabilia’ that transformed the original into a 3am proto-house banger. The reissued ‘Non-Stop Ecstatic Dancing’ channels the neon glamour and grit of Danceteria, Batcave, The Camden Palace and Studio 54 and still sounds fresh, menacing and ready to throw shapes in 2025.

Since their reunion and London O2 sell-out in 2018, Soft Cell have made a steady return to prominence and continue to shake things up in their ever provocative, uncompromising way. 2022’s new Top 10 album ‘Happiness Not Included’ followed in the footsteps of the feted ‘Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret’ 40th anniversary boxset and tour, featuring a chart-topping collaboration with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys in ‘Purple Zone’ as well as collaboration with experimental queer artist CHRISTEENE. Most recently, Soft Cell toured Australia for the first time ever, and touring the States extensively in May and June with Simple Minds. They also headline the Rewind Festival at Henley-on-Thames on 16th August, their only UK show of 2025.

Marc and Dave are currently in the studio, recording their sixth – and final – studio album. Set to arrive in early 2026, watch this space for more info.

"Soft Cell - Non-Stop Ecstatic Dancing 2025" is out Friday, 20th June 2025 and available for pre-order now.

Demon Music Group are delighted to confirm the release of ‘Night Mirror’ in July 2025 – the fourth solo album from electronic music legend, Claudia Brücken.

Written and recorded in London between 2023-2025 with longtime collaborator John Williams, ‘Night Mirror’ is a stunning collection of 10 brand new songs, suffused with optimism, loosely bound by themes of reflection and rebirth.

Having first come to notice as the lead singer of Düsseldorf electronic music pioneers Propaganda, one of the first signings to the celebrated ZTT Records (Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Art Of Noise, 808 State), Claudia’s striking image and distinctive vocals made her one the most influential and inspiring female musicians of her generation. Propaganda enjoyed chart success with hit singles like ‘Dr Mabuse’ and ‘Duel’ and their 1985 album ‘A Secret Wish’ is frequently cited as one of the landmark electronic pop albums of all time.

In subsequent years, along with collaborations with the likes of Jimmy Somerville, Andrew Poppy, Andy Bell (Erasure), Peter Hook (New Order) and Wolfgang Flür (Kraftwerk), Claudia was most recently in the limelight fronting the reimagined xPropaganda whose 2022 album ‘The Heart Is Strange’ garnered ecstatic reviews and reached No. 11 in the UK album chart.

On ‘Night Mirror’ Claudia is reunited with musical partner John Williams, whose work as a producer, writer, engineer, and record label head has seen him work with such luminaries as The Housemartins, Alison Moyet, Blancmange, Simple Minds and The Proclaimers. Contributing to the album are an accomplished series of musicians, whose credits include The Lighthouse Family, Cathy Dennis, Orlando Weeks (The Maccabees), and Kaiser Chiefs.

This exclusive limited 2-disc Lexer Music edition includes ‘Night Mirror’ in an alternate sleeve and exclusive bonus CD EP of ‘Nighttime Mixes’ by esteemed electronic producer Jason Mayo. There will also be a limited signed print as part of the package. A single batch of 1200 units only.

"Claudia Brücken - Night Mirror" is out Friday, 4th July 2025 on Edsel Records and available for pre-order now.
